"The best ideas lose their owners and take on lives of their own." ~ N. Bushnell ~
As followers of our blog have realized by now, so far, this is not our year. We have experienced numerous roadblocks thrown in our way, from working around our existing construction to different standards of excellence on the part of those we've chosen to work with us in achieving our goals. However one views it, there has been a lot going on at the rancho, and yet, our focus remains on completing the construction of the ranch house, nurturing our newly planted 120 olive trees, continue to nurture our existing vines and olives, and moving forward with our business plan.
The latter is the most difficult goalpost. Weather does not cooperate. When weather cooperates, pests do not, and worst, still, people one depends upon do not cooperate. My father always said, the moment can defeat you or define you. We have chosen to let this year define us, not defeat us.
To that end, amidst all the chaos and rubble, we are announcing the release of several new products, which we are very proud to be offering. The first is our estate-produced lemon olive oil. What can we use this for? Only all of these delicious recipes -- click here to be taken to our Pinterest page and all of the amazing recipes: http://www.pinterest.com/ranchoazulyoro/recipes/.
The next of our new offerings is a smoked sea salt. This can be used for anything from seasoning meats to an incredible topping on caramel brownies. Delicious recipes for this product can also be found on the above link.
Another of our new offerings -- granted, it's a bit edgy -- is a bourbon-infused smoked sea salt. The smoker person has gone crazy on the ranch. He's been confined to a small space and needs to think creatively. This is an amazing sea salt. I can even envision it being sprinkled on top of fresh, hot cinnamon rolls.
And yes -- about time -- we are now offering an olive oil seasoning/bread dipping mix. I am pleased to say that, having just finished cocktail hour with this dipping mix in our olive oil and one chopped garlic clove, I do not need dinner. Here's the recipe: One teaspoon of the seasoning mix in a quarter cup of our olive oil (options: one garlic clove and fresh parmesan cheese). That's it. How easy could it be? One 1.5 oz. tin will provide as many as 15 (or more) cocktail hours. Oh, don't forget the olive oil! The balance of the award-winning 2013 is on sale, and the fresh, grassy and zesty 2014 is now for sale on our website.
And yet, the best is yet to be. My motto, ne plus ultra. There is more yet to come. We have been surprised by the response to some of our early testing on these products. The response has been overwhelming. In fact, some of the products are back ordered, but are being reproduced as fast as we can make them. Truly, our ideas have lost us and taken on lives of their own.
